We are the colorful team at Tierhotel 5 Stern and if you ask us, we have the best guests in the world. Our job as hosts and carers can be quite demanding, but our fluffy guests make us smile every day. And we want to give that joy back. That’s why we take loving and attentive care of every animal that stays with us on vacation. We are constantly undergoing further training in order to respond to special treatments and have special skills in caring for service and guard dogs.
To be there for our four-legged friends and loyal companions. To give them a wonderful time at the Tierhotel 5 Stern until they can go home again. Offering neglected or abandoned animal souls a temporary home and paving the way to a better life for them. That’s what my heart beats for. That’s why I set up my animal hotel in 2016, founded the Verein schutzbedürftige Hunde and the Igel-Hilfe association and co-founded the Tierschutz Nordwestschweiz association.
If you entrust your beloved pet to us for one or more days or even a little longer, you can rely on us completely. You can rely on us to do everything we can for your pet’s well-being and to give them a really good time. I make sure of that. Together with my partner Corinne and our well-coordinated team. Because animals mean a lot to us. And because we know that real animal lovers can only really feel good when they know their faithful companions are in the very best hands.
Being at the side of animals and standing by their side – that was and is a matter close to my heart. I grew up on a farm. I worked for an international company for more than ten years. During this time, I regularly went to my parents’ farm to be close to the animals and my origins. And during this time, the desire to go back to my roots professionally grew.
Together with Piet and with a great deal of commitment, I now run the Tierhotel 5 Stern. So my wish has come true. In order to be able to be there even better for the animals entrusted to us, I am currently training to become an animal keeper.

Our 5-star boarding kennel is a competent service provider with the aim of offering your pet a familiar and individually adapted place for small animals, cats or dogs during your absence. The well-being of the animal and the satisfaction of the owner are our top priority. We are convinced that in our modern, contemporary animal vacation home with our caring and professionally trained animal keepers, we are convinced that we meet the highest standards in Switzerland. We do everything we can to ensure that your pet has a pleasant and educational stay!

Even as a child, I loved animals and knew that my path would one day lead me into this field. At the age of 27, I founded my AG and turned my dream into reality: designing the perfect boarding kennel and later the perfect animal shelter.
Before the age of 27, I invested every spare minute I had for years in drawing up a business plan. This enabled me to convince private investors of the merits of my plan, as I don’t come from a wealthy family myself. But with the necessary ambition, any goal, no matter how distant, is achievable.
Once I had secured the support of investors and the bank, construction began. Unfortunately, there were many defects at the beginning, but thanks to my good eye and the help of my friends, they were all discovered and rectified by the construction company.
When the starting signal was given, I was finally able to take off with my team and develop the Tierhotel slowly but steadily. Our motto is: “Standing still is the downfall”. That’s why we never stand still and are constantly developing both in terms of personnel and construction. Regular optimization on a small scale is a matter of course for us.
Our customers have contributed significantly to our current success. Their valuable input was and is priceless. That’s why I really enjoy the regular exchange with them.
Some of you may already know our name from the newspapers, as the media regularly report on our commitment. And that makes us very proud.
